Easy Steps to File an Insurance Claim

Step 1: Get the Roof Inspected

Before you file the claim, you want to know how bad the damage is and what type of repairs will be needed. This is where Great Built Roofing & Construction can help. We are always willing to perform a roof inspection for storm damage.

Step 2: File the Claim

After you call us, call your insurance provider and start the process of filing the claim paperwork. Be sure to note the case number that is assigned to your claim so you can keep track of the status as the process unfolds.

Step 3: Schedule a Time to Meet the Adjuster

Once you file the claim, your insurance company is going to send an adjuster to your home to do their own inspection. Once you have the time and date of this meeting, call us and we will make sure the roofer who inspected your roof originally is present to communicate what he found to your insurance adjuster

Once the adjuster completes his inspection, there will be an estimate of the cost of repairs. When the claim gets approved you will get two checks. The first check is enough money to get started on repairs, and the second check will come after repairs are complete to reimburse the difference between the first check and the actual cost of repairs.
